"Ask, Seek, Knock"

bjsartworks Gallery is dedicated to educate and support emerging artists in the area. Upon visiting my gallery a few months ago, Chris Demeter came in and asked some questions about where to go with his photography and I encouraged him to take on a project in hopes of giving him a direction in his love of photography. We came up with the theme Matt. 7: 7-8.
Chris did the work of traveling around the area to take photographs of area church doors.
What he came up with is a beautiful variety of styles, color and texture that reflect our community of church doors.
Along with this photography show bjsartworks is hosting the 4th Annual
Lake George High School Ceramic Show

 CLASSES STARTING SOON IN Beginning Drawing and Pastel
Instructor: Beverly Saunders at bjsartworks, The Shirt Factory Glens Falls, NY
4 week sessions, beginning the first of each month
You can learn the Elements of Art! Including line, shape, form, space, color and texture.You will learn how to make your hand work with what you see and exercise the various components to drawing.
This class is intended for young adults and up, who want to learn the basics of drawing which is essential to the process.
Bev graduated from SUNY Purchase with a BFA in Fine Art and through the years she has taken several workshops in Pastel and continues to work in the medium. Her expertise can help you learn to draw what you see

 Owner/Artist Bev Saunders of bjsartworks has owned and operated the Framing Gallery and Studio for 5 years now. She started out in 2006 in a small unit on 152 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. It wasn't too long that an opportunity arose for her to quit her day job, move to Glens Falls, NY and try out her business at a cool place called "The Shirt Factory" where a whole community of artists, artisans and healing arts established themselves in the historical 100 year old factory. The business is growing and the gallery continues to represent regional artists, serve the community with professional picture framing and offer original work in pastel which include portraits of people, families, homes and animals along with landscapes and still life.
Bev is co-founder of the Adirondack Pastel Society and is now president of this well respected group of pastel artists. You can find this group on facebook for the latest news and postings.
Bev has been working in the medium of soft pastel for 20 years and continues to work the medium, challenging the limitless possibilities in painting in pastel.
