Born in Glens Falls NY, Daniel J. Zollinger is a painter, sculptor and editorial illustrator. Earning "Best in American Illustration" awards in 2007 and 2009, he is also co-founder of "Acme Illustrators" along with illustration partner Anthony Freda.

Daniel is currently "artist-in-residence" at bjsartworks gallery in Glens Falls, NY. The artist's work ranges from small to medium scale oils of figures, still lifes and landscapes — to larger scale contemporary oil and acrylic works. These larger scale works focus primarily on dream-like, spiritually inspired  scenes incorporating the human figure in transcendent landscapes.

Zollinger's work can be found in private collections throughout the U.S. while
his illustrations can be seen in publications such as Business Week, Playboy,
Esquire, The Village Voice, Chicago Tribune and many others. He will also be
featured in the soon to be published book, "Drawing Inspiration: Visual Artists
At Work " by writer Michael Fleishman.
